I’m gonna be honest sometimes I forget that Marik and Bakura aren’t the main characters of YGO
That’s not what they’d tell you if you asked them
Good news everybody, my name change went through! Bad news, because of this it might be six weeks until my income works again– I’m really happy and I don’t regret it whatsoever, but I’m a little bit tense, so…

Wanted to do like a Valentine Cards thing. Hahaha.
Hey gamers I have a headcanon that I like, for no other reason than IT’S MY HEADCANON AND I GET TO CHOOSE THE ANGST. And also expands on Kul Elna lore a bit.
So Bakura’s Diabound has an ability that lets it camouflage and turn invisible

The only explanation for it given is that access to the millennium ring lets Diabound have this power, but since Diabound is somewhat of an amalgamation of the slaughtered Kul Elnans and their hatred, and the millennium items are literally made from their remains, I like to believe this power comes from one of the villagers. More specifically, I like to believe it comes from Bakura’s mother. Why?
How exactly did Bakura survive that night? It’s never actually specified, and it does seem odd that the soldiers would somehow miss one child. But what if Bakura’s mother, with the last of her heka, hid him and made him invisible to the soldier’s eyes? And that’s how he was able to survive the night and witness the forging of the items.
So this power is an extension of a mother’s love and protection. Even if she lost all other sense of self as a vengeful disembodied spirit, she’s still watching out for her boy

very belated icon commission for @touzoku-ou-bakura
